Sony Ericsson K850i Green Joins the K850i Blue in the Cyber-Shot Phone Range

Sony Ericsson’s innovation continues with the release of another 5.0 megapixel camera phone, the Sony Ericsson K850i Green.

This new handset will be marketed and promoted alongside the blue version with the only real difference being the LED lights that wrap around the exterior of the phone as well as the illuminations of the front keypad.

Aside from the colour differences, the Sony K850i Green and Blue hold exactly the same specifications adding another two 5.0 megapixel camera phones to the UK market.

There are currently only two other phones available offering this camera technology, those being the Nokia N95 and the Samsung G600 but the new K850i models offer something more than both models.

The phone is part of the ever growing Cyber Shot range of mobiles and introduces some new camera features into the mix, aside from the astounding number of megapixels only usually found in stand alone camera devices the K850i also offers Auto Focus for fast photo capture, put simply the user can take a picture within seconds by pushing the dedicated camera button on the exterior of the handset and the lens will auto focus for picture perfect photography in seconds. Another camera feature is the inclusion of a Xenon flash, this new flash technology is far brighter than the industry standard LED flashes and produces quality images even in low light conditions, there is also an Auto Rotation option that automatically adjusts as the handset is tilted to take picture both in landscape and portrait form whilst an Automatic Lens Cover protects the high quality lens from dust and the elements when not in use. You may be thinking that with all of this automatic technology onboard what is left for the user to do, well, they still have to push the middle selection button in order to capture the picture.

In addition to capturing high quality pictures, the K850i also supports video record and playback allowing for short video clips to be recorded, stored, played back on screen or shared with compatible devices either via Bluetooth, USB, SMS or email.

The Sony K850i is not just a camera phone, it also offers an MP3 player and FM Radio for enjoying favourite music tracks or keeping up to date with the latest record releases, news and weather reports.

Most importantly, the K850i is a 3G enabled handset, there is a secondary dedicated VGA camera for making and receiving video calls whereas the user can see and hear the person they are conversing with. 3G also allows for faster download speeds of new mobile content as well as giving access to a wealth of mobile entertainment and information such as new music videos, the latest release movie trailers, fast internet browsing and quick email attachment download.
